Larijani: Majlis values boosting ties with Latam countries
Tehran, March 7, IRNA – Iran’s parliament ( Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani in a meeting with visiting Ecuador First Vice-President Lenin Moreno said that the Majlis values boosting ties with Latam countries.
According to the report of Majlis Media Department on Saturday, the Ecuador’s VP, who is in Iran to talk with Iranian senior officials, met with Larijani on Saturday afternoon.
In the meeting, Larijani called relations between the two countries friendly with a growing trend and said that Iran gives much importance to developing ties with Latin American countries.
Larijani, by underlining the important role of parliaments of both countries in developing cooperation, added that Majlis welcomes every kind of expansion in ties and is ready to approve any kind of law which helps to increase cooperation level in different fields between the two countries.
Lenin Moreno, for his part, called Iran as a powerful country in the region with rich culture and history and said that Ecuador has great
respect for Iranian nation.
He went on to say Ecuador supports Iran’s stances in the world and in spite of geographical distance between the two countries there is no obstacle to expand ties and cooperation with Iran.
Moreno said that Iran has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful aim, like other countries and the western countries and the USA, who are accusing Iran of nuclear deviation, must demolish their own atomic arsenal promptly./end
