Iran to promote national handicrafts
TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) -- Showcases for Iranian handicrafts will be established in Iranian embassies at forty countries.
The showcases will be established to introduce and boost the handicrafts of Iran, the deputy for Traditional Art and Handicraft Tahmineh Daniali said on Friday.
The countries were selected in different sessions and with the cooperation of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, she mentioned.
Iran has cultural attaché offices in 60 countries, which specifically have been selected in consideration of the geographical, cultural and social conditions that exist in each particular region, she said.
The items going on display at the showcases should have some commonality with conditions in the target country, she added.
