YEMEN TAKES PART IN ARAB LABOR CONFERENCE IN BAHRAIN
MANAMA, March 06 (Saba) - Yemen is taking part in the 37th round of the Arab Labor Conference organized by the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) for 8 days began on Saturday in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
Yemeni participating delegation in the conference was headed by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Hummad.
The Yemeni delegation includes representatives of the government, General Federation of Commerce and Industry Chambers and the General Federation of Yemen Labors Unions.
Representatives of governments, businessmen and laborers from various Arab member states are partaking in the conference that will discuss a number of topics, topped by role of labor inspection in bettering the work relations and creating an appropriate climate for investment in addition to discuss the economic changes and their impacts on the labor market.
It is worth to mention that the Arab Labor Organization is one of the specialized organizations in the Arab League.
The initiative to hold the first conference of Arab Labor ministers came from Iraq on 12 January 1965 to consult and discuss the basis of establishing of the ALO.
The conference was held in the same year with the participation of Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco and Yemen.
