HOUTHIS REPRESENTATIVE IN JAWF HINDERS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SIX TERMS

JAWF, March 06 (Saba) - The overseeing committee which ordered to implement the six terms and its mechanisms in Jawf province's axis has waited long hours for Houthis' representatives to implement the six terms and ways in applying them, Information Centre of Interior Ministry reported Friday.

The overseeing committee has waited for Houthis in the province compound but their representatives did not join the committee. Thus, the committee postponed its duties to another day hoping for Houthis to join in order to establish peace and stability in the province.

Security authorities in the province indicated that a number of sheiks lifted checkpoints in al-Zahr district posted by Houthis who committed several crimes in attacking citizens before and after the ceasefire in the northwest region on February 11, hoping for Houthis to implement the six terms.

Yemen has announced to stop the ground military operations in the northwest region after the Houthis singed to accept the government conditions.

Worth to mention that, four committees were formed in order to make security and stability in the province which are the Committee on Harf Sufyan and Jawf, Committee on Almalaheedh area, Committee on Saada and the Committee on border with Saudi Arabia.

Hundreds of rebels have been killed since the army launched an expanded offensive against them last month. Many others were arrested and weapons were seized and destroyed as well.
