YEMENI FAMILY SELLS UNIQUE HOLY QUR'AN COPY AT $1 MLN



SANA'A, March 06 (Saba) - A representative of Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud will arrive in Yemen mid March to complete the buying negotiations of the second small and unique Holy Qur'an copy in possession of a Yemeni family, News Yemen website has reported.

Abdul-Naser al-Nahdi, representing the family which has the copy, said that he will
not accept less than $1 million. But later, he was phoned by one of the prince's assistant informing him that they will accept any price they will ask for.

The last offer for the small and unique Holy Qur'an copy was two million Saudi Riyals by one of Al-Waleed Bin Talal's assistant but al-Nahdirefused the offer.

This Holy Qur'an copy was printed by the Prince Printing Company in Egypt in 1317 A.H under the supervision of al-Azhar scholars.

It Holy Qu'ran was gevin to Imam Yahya Hamidadden as a gift in 1920 by Ottoman judge Mahmoud Nasef.

The Holy Qur'an copy has a cover painted with pure gold water and is measured at 3 cm in length.
