IRNA chief outlines priorities of his agency

Tehran, March 6, IRNA – IRNA Chief Ali-Akbar Javanfekr said on Saturday that “looking at the future” through making use of the past experiences is a priority for the Islamic Republic News Agency.
He made the remarks while addressing members of the board of directors of the Association of Muslim Journalists.
IRNA is seriously determined not to repeat past mistakes and make progress towards exact and precise dissemination of correct information and news.
The IRNA managing director further underlined the need for carrying out scientific and professional management at his news agency.
Media should reflex the real problems of the nation and the society, he said, adding that IRNA can play a key role by criticizing the government and performance of various state organizations in a fair and constructive manner./end
