Interior Minister: Rigi's arrest, disclosed supporters of terrorism

Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA – Iran’s Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said the arrest of the ringleader of a terrorist group in southeastern country unveiled the real supporters of terrorism as well as those who falsely claim support for human rights in the world.

Talking in a nationwide gathering of security chiefs in his ministry Saturday morning, he stressed the need for maintaining vigilance against the plots of the enemies of the holy system of the Islamic Republic.

He noted that the enemies of the nation, in the past three decades, have always been trying to use every chance to inflict a blow on Iran's Islamic Revolution but failed due to the vigilance of Iranians.

The minister also referred to the arrest of terrorist Abdolmalek Rigi in southeast of the country by Iranian security and intelligence forces and said Rigi’s confessions revealed the extensive support western espionage organizations rendered for terrorism in the region./end
