Referring to the particular features of the Latin American region and his country, Mujical reiterated, “We have no option but unity if we wish to rid our region from the hegemony of the big powers and the dependence on a few strong countries that intend to loot the regional nations’ wealth.”
Mohammad Abbasi on his part added, “The Iranian nation and government are friends and well-wishers of the Uruguayan government and nation.”
“The awareness of the Latin American nations, particularly the awareness of the Uruguayan nation during the past couple of years and their efforts aimed at ridding themselves of the hegemony of aliens is praiseworthy,” Abbasi further said.
He also referred to the pressures imposed upon the Iranian nation by the west over the past thirty years, arguing that the nation’s resistance in that respect has been exemplary.
Abbasi concluded by emphasizing that only “Unity among world nations, including the Iranian and the Uruguayan nations can annul the effects of such pressures.”
