Pakistan's mega project for gold, copper, minerals exploration launched
Islamabad, June 28 PPI: Pakistan's Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani says mega project for gold, copper and other allied minerals exploration in Chaghi, Balochistan province launched jointly by Antofagasta of Chile, Barrick Gold of Canada and Balochistan government will bring transformation in province.
He was talking to delegation led by Jean Paul Luksic, Chairman Antofagasta, a
Chilean joint venture company here Friday.
He said Pakistan will consider signing Free Trade Agreement with Chile and a
delegation soon visit Chile to explore new avenues of collaboration.
Luksic said project involves US$1.5 billion investment likely to eventually reach
US$5 billion. On commissioning annual copper export would be over $1 billion.
