VP: Decrees to be issued, appointing 11 women as deputy ministers

SANA'A, March 03
(Saba) - Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi said on Wednesday there are decrees
would
be issued appointing 12 deputy ministers and 12 directors general from women.
In his speech at the opening of the third conference of Yemen Women Union (YWU) ,
Hadi announced approving 120 job posts for women working a the YWU in the different
provinces
of the country within the next year budget.
Hadi affirmed the political leadership's keenness to promote the women's role in
the society and expand their representation in the various elected bodies and
strengthen
their position in the decision making units.
In his speech, Hadi reviewed the effective participation of women in the national
renaissance in all political, economic, developmental and social fields as well as
their
honorable struggle in defense of the 26 September and 14 October revolutions.
"The woman today is a minister, a parliamentarian, an ambassador, a physician, an
engineer, a university professor, and a party leader and in the Police College and
the
Higher Judicial Institute. There is no difference between them and the men in light
of the laws and the constitution only in the efficiency and capacity", Hadi said.
He added that the state is always seeking to empower women in all leadership
positions and in the legislative institutions as they are a fundamental pillar of
society and
provide them better conditions through creating a legal and legislative environment
that ensures their rights.
Hadi confirmed that the country needs all its sons whether men or women to work
together to build it and its development.
