Iranian IT products on display in Hanover

Berlin, March 3, IRNA -- A number of Iranian firms are showcasing their products at CeBIT in Hanover, one of the world's leading annual fairs in the area of information technology.

Iranian companies include Parsan, Haftsin, Simapardaz, Afra, Arianadadeh, Abra Tehran, Rassaneh Saz-e Danesh, Soroush Mehr Arya and Adak Samaneh.

Around 4,157 companies from 68 countries are taking part in CeBIT of which 300 of them are participating in the five-day fair for the first time.

The main theme of CeBIT 2010 dwells on connecting the future world of life and work.

Spain is this year's partner country of CeBIT.

IT industry experts predict that up 10 million business contacts could be initiated at the trade fair, as global readiness to invest has grown in the aftermath of the recent world financial crisis.

Digitalization of the music industry, energy efficiency and telehealth are also be part of CeBIT's focus.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero formally inaugurated the IT fair Monday evening./end
