TURKISH CONTRACTORS AIM AT OPENING UP TO INDIA, CENTRAL AND WEST AFRICA
ANKARA (A.A) - 02.03.2010 - Turkish contractors aim at opening up projects in India, Central and West Africa, chairperson of contractors' association said on Tuesday.
Erdal Eren, chairperson of Association of Turkish Contractors, told the A.A correspondent that they wanted to develop markets in Russia, North Africa, Gulf countries and Central Asia in 2010.
Turkish contracting companies have assumed projects of 18.1 billion U.S. dollars abroad in 2009, Eren said.
Replying to a question on new markets, Eren said Turkish contractors were eager to open up business in Central and West African countries as well as India where Turkey was opening new representative offices and embassies.
Eren said they needed project credits to be provided by Eximbank to be involved in projects in the mentioned countries.
