D8 has great potentials for Islamic states - Iran
Tehran, March 2, IRNA – The Iranian minister of industries and mines said that the group of Developing Eight (D8) has great potentials that should serve as a practical example for Islamic countries.
Addressing the D8 1st Ministerial Meeting in Tehran, Ali-Akbar Mehrabian said the member countries of the developing eight are determined to manage the world economy.
Referring to the D8 economic, scientific, cultural, natural and political potentials, he opined that the Islamic example can be a solution for the today’s world problems.
Mehrabian said Tehran’s ministerial meeting would be a new development in implementation of the projects and decisions taken by the D8 member countries.
The group of Developing Eight 1st Ministerial Meeting started work on February 28 in Tehran. The one day meeting is to wind up today./end
