Iran: "We must create 1.100.000 new jobs next year

Tehran, March 2, IRNA – 1st Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi expressed hope here Monday evening that the government would manage to create some 1.100,000 new jobs in the Iranian New Year, starting on March 20th, 2010.
Speaking on behalf of the country’s governor generals, Rahimi asked for their cooperation with the cabinet members in order to make possible achieving that national objective.
Rahimi, who was speaking on the closing night of the governor generals’ nationwide gathering at the Interior Ministry further reiterated, “In accordance with the determined objectives in the development plans regarding employment, we need to decrease the unemployment rate down to 7% border.”
Rahimi emphasized, “In order to reach that goal we have been gathering a the Supreme Employment Council once a week constantly during the past couple of months and each of those session lasted several hours.”
He reiterated, “We came up with the conclusion that by the end of the (Iranian) year 1388 (ending on March 20th, 2010) we would be able to implement the articles of the (newly devised) Employment Document.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s first vice president said, “Today, we discussed the plan with the country’s entire governor generals and we hope to be able to eliminate its entire deficiencies within the next couple of weeks.
Rahimi asked the governor generals to reflect their provinces’ existing privileges to the Supreme Employment Council so that the Employment Document would by the end of the (Iranian) year come up with a comprensive sum up and prepare the final version of that document for nationwide implementation./end
