Iran's President praises peoples' political understanding
Tehran, March 1, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that the political understanding of people has increased dramatically "leaving behind that of the so-called intellectuals".
President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with governors general of the provinces to mark unity week marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
He said that Islamic Iran has turned to a cultural and humanitarian superpower in the world and will never let any country trample upon its legitimate rights.
He advised officials to seriously help resolve people’s problems.
Iran’s regional status is very remarkable, he highlighted, adding that some assume that the country’s strength has been shattered but the fact is that the world has been stunned by Iran’s glory and development./end
