Yemen renews keenness to provide protection for resident foreigners
RIYADH, Feb.28
(Saba) - The Yemeni government has renewed its keenness to provide all potentials of
security
and protection for the foreigners residing in Yemen.
Meanwhile, the government also confirmed its commitment to fight against the
extremism and terrorism through an integrated system of security, economic and
developmental
efforts.
Undersecretary of the National Security Jalal al-Rowaishan affirmed, in the session
of the joint work team between the Yemeni government and donors held on Sunday in
Riyadh,
that the legislations which criminate the foreigners kidnapping would be applied and
they could amount to the maximum penalties, as such crimes represent a blatant
attack
on personal freedoms sponsored by Yemeni legislations.
Al-Rowaishan noted that the negative image being promoted by some external media on
the security situation in Yemen lacks accuracy, objectivity and credibility.
He pointed out that there are hundreds of foreign experts who are in Yemen, who
are moving freely within the Yemeni cities.
