Mottaki: Supporting Palestine, an obligation

Tehran, Feb 27, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here on Saturday that extending support to Palestine and Resistance Movement is an obligation.

Addressing the ongoing Seminar on National and Islamic Solidarity for Future of Palestine, he added, “We are duty-bound to support the holy movement of Palestine.”

He further noted that today, the righteousness of the Palestinians and the illegitimate nature of the Zionist regime are more obvious for the region and the world than in the past decades and even three years ago.

Mottaki described the gathering as another agreement among the Palestinian groups which is shown to the world.

The two-day event opened with the illuminating Guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the chief diplomat said, noting that once again he anticipated the victory of the holy movement of Palestine over the occupying regime.

The seminar deals with the main elements of Jihad and fighting in Palestine as well as the approaches to further solidarity, Mottaki concluded./end
