President Saleh meets with Defense Ministry leadership

SANA'A, Feb. 27 (Saba) -
President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Saturday with the leadership of the Defense
Ministry.

During the meeting, President Saleh addressed the ministry's staff and leadership,
demanding them to double their efforts in this important stage.
President Saleh emphasized the importance of discipline and obedience to laws and
the ministry's bylaws to improve the ministry's performance.
"Anyone does his duties competently will be rewarded and those who do not will be
definitely punished", president said.
Saleh highlighted the heroic role the security and military institutions play to
maintain security and stability and to safeguard the national achievements in the
country,
affirming that the state would continue its efforts to advance the capacities of
such institutions The President ended his speech by saying "This great institution
is the
safety valve of the nation and a symbol of its national unity".
