Russian Gazprom seeks investment in Yemen's gas, oil

SANA'A, Feb. 25 (Saba) -
Russian Gazprom company is to hold talks in the coming few days with Yemeni
officials on investing
in oil and gas areas in the country.
Russian Gazprom company project officer Dimitri Katlski said upon his arrival to
Sana'a that the company is to get acquainted with the oil and gas investment
opportunities
in Yemen.
Yemen has an encouraging environment to make some success in oil exploration,
Katlski said.
Gazprom is one of the world's largest energy companies. Its major business lines
are geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and
marketing
of hydrocarbons as well as generation and marketing of heat and electric power.
