PRESIDENT ATTENDS OPENING OF NEW PLANT OF DEFENSE INDUSTRY
Baku, 26 June, (AzerTAj) - President Ilham Aliyev today attended the ceremony of opening of the newly reconstructed plant of the Azerbaijan Defense Industry Ministry and familiarized himself with the process of production in the enterprise, 25 June.
The President viewed a film on the production process and familiarized himself with
Heydar Aliyev Museum in the Plant.
Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Camalov highlighted on current feasibility of the
enterprise, which was suspended since 1990.
As stated, the Plant was reconstructed
on the Presidential Decree dated December 16, 2005, and started production of optic
devices and other observation accessories for shooting grounds.
Head of the Azerbaijan State toured the production shops, turner and milling machine
processing centers, watched technical supervision branches.
Further, the President took part at the ceremony of presentation of modern armored
machines, gave his instructions on development of the production process.
