Islamabad, June 26 PPI: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani says there is vast scope for foreign direct investment in Pakistan's telecom sector.
Talking to Bjorn Hemstad, Chairman, Ericsson, Central Europe, Middle East & Africa
here Wednesday, he said government has taken several initiatives to leverage full
potential of telecom sector and improve teledensity in the country. ``We are also
considering fresh incentives to attract more investment.''
Gilani said government is also considering introducing 3G system in order to achieve
broadband. ``We visualize Pakistan as hub of skilled human resource in the region
and intend to further improve investment friendly climate.''
