OIC committee accepts Iran’s proposals

Riyadh, Feb 24, IRNA – Technology-science cooperation committee of Organization of Islamic Conference ( OIC), in its 27th session in Saudi Arabia accepted three proposals of Iran.

The committee in its Tuesday meeting in the presence of Secretary General of the OIC, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, and a number of ministers and deputy ministers of Higher Education Ministries of member states agreed with Iran’s three proposals.

Iran’s Deputy Minister of Higher Education in international affairs Arsalan Qorbani said that Iran had proposed several plans in the last year meeting, including creation of "Technology-science Park,” "Cyber University”, and commissioning Nano-technology network which were accepted this year.

Permanent members of the committee are eight Islamic countries including Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia./end
