BSEC EXPAND STRENGTHENS ECONOMIC COOPERATION IN REGION

Baku, 26 June, (AzerTAj)- The major aim of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is to strengthen economic cooperation in the Black Sea region, Head of the Azerbaijan delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the BSEC Asaf Hajiyev told AzerTAg.

According to him, BSEC`s influence in the region is increasing day by day. The
world is attracted by the region`s rich natural reserves and geostrategic
importance. This region is the bridge between the Asia and Europe.
Hajiyev says Baku can use BSEC to raise world community’s awareness about the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Armenia failed to join any regional projects. Armenia is keen on economic
cooperation with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan will not establish any kind of economic
cooperation with Armenia unless this country releases the occupied territories.

Hajiyev noted a number of international organizations are keen on cooperation with
the BSEc. European Union has begun to expand energy cooperation with regional
rganizations. Azerbaijan is the center of those events as the country is an
initiator of all major projects in the region.
