Police defuse bomb planted by separatists in Dhale residential quarter

DHALE, Feb.23 (Saba) - Police in Dhale province could defuse a bomb
which was planted by destructive
elements at a residential quarter Monday night in downtown Nasham
district, almotamar.net reported on Tuesday.
The bomb weighed 1600gs of TNT and was connected to a remote exploding
device, according to the website. It was discovered by citizens who then
alerted authorities.
The foiled attempt comes in the context of desperate tries of the
separatists to disturb the public security, Ghazi Ahmed Ali, Dhale
Security chief, said.
In Lahj, security authorities have arrested 19 suspects in connection
with destructive acts and attacking both public and private properties,
an official source told the
website.
