Yemen continues to apply economic reforms

SANA'A, Feb.23 (Saba) - Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi renewed here on Tuesday
Yemen's
keenness to continue to apply the national agenda of reforms that based on a
national independent vision imposed by Yemen interest.
This came during official talks held here, gathered al-Arhabi and the International
Monetary Fund (IMF)'s mission charged with identifying the needs of development in
Yemen.
The two sides dealt with a number of issues relating to the frames of the current
cooperation between Yemen and the IMF and the future directions of this
cooperation, especially
with regard to supporting the development process and reforms in Yemen.
Al-Arhabi praised the current cooperation between Yemen and the IMF, noting the
IMF's contributions to support the Yemeni government efforts aiming to apply the
economic
and financial reforms in Yemen.
The IMF mission confirmed the fund's readiness to offer all aspects of available
support to enhance the process of reforms and development in Yemen, pointing out
the progress
made by Yemen in the reforms field over the past years.
