Mehrabian: Sanctions against Iran, futile attempt

Tehran, Feb 23, IRNA – Exerting Sanctions against Iran is a futile attempt across the world, Iranian Industry and Mines Minister said on Tuesday.

Ali-Akbar Mehrabian said imposing sanctions on Iran is nonsense, adding a great number of multinational companies have voiced their willingness to bolster ties will Iran.

He said that economic sanctions imposed on Iran have created opportunities for the Islamic Republic in the fields of economy and industry.

Amid arrogant powers’ anti-Iran propagandas, he said our products have been exported to 160 countries in the past 10 months.

Mehrabian said Iran banking transactions and exports are increasing, stating that imposing sanctions against Iran is meaningless for us.

He said a large number of foreign companies have condemned the western countries policy toward Iran in their negotiations with Tehran./end
