SABA TO ORGANIZE YEMENI WORKFORCE AND GULF LABOR MARKET REQUIREMENTS MEETING

SANA'A, Feb.21 (Saba) – The Saba Center for Strategic Studies organizes on Monday a conference about Yemeni workforce and Gulf Labor Market Requirements in Sana'a.

The two-day meeting draws significance as it comes at a time when the issue of Yemeni laborers and absorbing them in the GCC labor markets receives much political and media attention amid intensive talk about the necessity to enable Yemeni workforce to work in Arabia Gulf Sates, director of the center Ahmed Abdul Karim Saif said.

Yemen, Gulf and Arab experts and academics will discuss Yemeni-Gulf partnership and present and future impacts of the partnership, he said.

The center's view towards the issue of giving Yemeni workforce a chance to work in the GCC focuses on conducting further analysis on difficulties facing this, on one hand. On the other hand, it seeks to come out with a clear scientific vision to deal with the roadblocks to more job opportunities for Yemeni workforce.

The meeting will also focus on all legal, procedure, security and economic issues related to the theme of the conference as well as assessing Yemeni workforce abilities to rehabilitate them in line with the needs of the GCC labor markets.

Recommendations that would be made would be put forward to decision makers.
