GCAA DIRECTOR IN YEMEN



SANA'A, Feb. 21 (Saba) - Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Saif al-Suwaidi with an accompanied delegation arrived in Sana'a on Sunday in a few-day visit.

Speaking to Saba, al-Suwaidi said that he would meet with officials of Yemen's Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority (CAMA).

The UAE official noted that the visit aims at promoting the mutual cooperation relations as well as means of boosting them between Yemen and the UAE.

He also made clear several issues would also be discussed in fields of air transport's rights and services related to in addition to facilitations offered to passengers and merchandise transferred between the two countries in the light of the memoranda of understanding signed in 2007 between the CAMA and the GCAA.

In return, the CAMA Chairman Hamed Farag said that the two sides' talks would focus on new policies adopted by the CAMA within Yemen's accession to the Arab Authority for Civil Aviation.

Farag pointed out that the two sides would re-sign the understanding memo of the two countries in that regard.
