Yemen, EU review London meeting results

SANA'A, Feb. 20 (Saba) - Yemen and European
Union (EU) reviewed here on Saturday the results of London meeting to support Yemen
in
both political and developmental areas and to face terrorism threatening as well.
During his meeting with EU ambassadors, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi talked
about the Riyadh meeting to be held on February 27-28, which is to discuss reasons
impeding
Yemen's benefit from the financial pledges of London Donor Conference 2006 as well
as the current arrangements for holding a meeting for Yemen's Friends Group.
The Foreign Minister briefed the EU ambassadors on the latest developments in Yemen
and ending war in the northern province of Saada after the rebellion had accepted
the
government's six conditions, in addition to the President Ali Abdullah Saleh's call
for holding a comprehensive national dialogue.
The meeting also dealt with the Yemeni initiative to reform the Arab League and to
activate the Arab joint action.
