Iranian Dastan ensemble to tour Europe
TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) -- Iranian vocalist Salar Aqili accompanied by the Dastan ensemble will be performing Iranian and Indian music in Europe.
The traditional Iranian music of the Dastan ensemble blends with the Indian sarod of Rajeeb Chakraborty which is complemented by the voice of Salar Aghili.
Entitled “In the Name of the Red Rose”, the concert features poetry by Hamid Motebassam which are based on Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani’s poem “Sing in the Name of the Red Rose”.
The group will give a performance in Stockholm on April 3 and the day after that in Gothenburg.
Munich will host a concert on April 7 and on April 9, there will be a performance in Antwerp.
On April 10, they will have a concert in Amsterdam and Frankfurt will host a performance on April 14.
They will have a concert on April 16 in Karlsruhe, Germany and Bielefeld will host a performance on April 21.
On April 23, Münster will host the ensemble’s performance and there will be a performance in Vein on April 26.
Saeid Farajpuri on kamancheh, Hossein Behruzinia on Barbat, Behnam Samani and Pejman Hadadi on percussion, Hamid Motebassem on tar are members of the Dastan Ensemble.
Rajeeb Chakraborty on sarod, Reza Abaee on gheizhak and Puya Saraee on santur accompany the ensemble.
