Iran to host intl. conference on museums of Islamic countries
TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) -- The Iranian Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) will be holding an international conference on museums of the Islamic countries in Tehran in the near future.
The report was announced by CHTHO Director Hamid Baqaii during his visit to the Center for the Anthropology Encyclopedia and the private collection of historical manuscripts of the center’s director, Sadeq Mahfuzi on Friday.
Establishment of a union for the Islamic countries’ museums will be high on the agenda for the meeting.
Officials and scholars from Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwai, Algeria, Indonesia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will attend the event.
