Iran-Turkey sign educational MoU : Minister

Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA – Education Minister Hamid Reza Haji Babaei, upon his arrival in Tehran from Ankara, said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for promotion of relations in education fields was signed between Iran and Turkey.

He told reporters here on Friday that upon 17 articles of the MoU, bilateral educational and sports cooperation will increase.
Haji Babaei added that Turkey has a lot of commonalities with Iran on educational situation and even their educational working hours are almost similar to ours.

They have 14 million pupils which is also the same as ours.

The minister said bilateral cooperation in this field with Turkey will be very valuable, adding that Iran tries to use Turkey's abilities in the field of sports and management.

He evaluated the achievements of his visit to Turkey "valuable and useful" and expressed hope that he can use good experiences of this trip in Education Ministry./end
