N. Korean envoy bids farewell to Iran's fm

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – North Korean Ambassador to Tehran Sozeh Pyong here Wednesday at end of his tenure met, conferred and bid farewell to IRI Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
According to IRNA, the Information and Media Head Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported Wednesday night that the two diplomats exchanged viewpoints during the meeting on bilateral ties, as well as the most important regional and international developments of mutual concern.
Mottaki during the meeting emphasized the need for continuation of the existing good and constructive relations between the two countries, asking for frequenting of the two countries’ top officials and delegations between the two capitals.
The Iranian foreign minister referring to the membership of both Iran and North Korea at the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) added, “Our countries have both always respected the rule of justice seeking as their top priorities in their international and internal policy makings and been opposed to the hegemony of certain powers in the world.”
The outgoing Ambassador Sozeh Pyong, too, evaluating Tehran-Pyongyang relations as excellent, said that he believes the two countries’ relations are still further growing.
He reiterated, “The volume of the political consultations between the two countries regarding bilateral relations and regional developments have increased and North Korea has always defended the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields./end
