UNHCR TO CONTINUE SUPPORT YEMEN TO FACE REFUGEES' PROBLEMS



SANA'A, Feb. 17 (Saba) - United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees (UNHCR) will continue support the government to encounter
the challenges arising from the African refugees' stream into Yemen,
UNHCR official said Wednesday.

During his meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister and director of
National Committee for Refugees Ali Mothana, UNHCR Regional Director
for Middle East and North Africa Redhwan Nuwaiser expressed the
organization's readiness to present assistance in the area of
returning the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their houses in
Saada governorate.

The meeting also discussed ways of cooperation between Yemen and
UNHCR in issues of refugees and Saada IDPs in the light of ceasefire
deal.

Deputy Foreign Minister voiced the government's appreciation of the
assistance provided by UNHCR, affirming the country's willingness to
cooperate with the organization to succeed its efforts in the
country.
