CBY governor meets BIB chairman

SANA'A, June 24 (Saba)- The governor of Central Bank of Yemen CBY
Ahmed al-Samawi held a meeting on Monday with board chairman of
Bahrain Islamic Bank BIB Khaled al-Basam who is currently visiting
Yemen.

In the meeting, they discussed partnership agreement that will be
signed between the Bahraini bank and Yemeni Islamic Bank for Trade
and Investment soon.

Al-Samawi welcomed the agreement that comes within growing Yemeni
Gulf ties in all fields, pointing out to promising investment
opportunities in banking sector of the country.

He also pointed out to the achievements of the banking sector within
financial reforms that Yemen has carried out in cooperation with its
regional and international partners.AH
