Economic crisis, terrorism, insecurity, consequences of US policy

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Siarhiej Martynau here on Tuesday said that economic crisis, terrorism, extermism and insecurity in the world are the consequences of US and other world powers policies.

According to the report of the Foreign Ministry's Media Department, Mottaki asked how can those countries claim that they are able to solve world problems when they are unable to solve their own.

Hegemonic powers do not want to accept that their policies are wrong, said Mottaki.

He added he was pleased that the growing trend of ties between the two countries is making determined goals operational.

He said that joint cooperation in the field of energy is very important and has a large capacity adding that this cooperation is practical not only in bilateral ways but in multilateral ways, too.

Martynau, by referring to exchanging high ranking delegations between the two countries, said that stability in bilateral ties is comprehensive and Tehran-Minsk ties are deepening and expanding.

He called production of light car in Belarus, cooperation in the field of transportation, construction of cement plant, exporting heavy car to Iran as among joint projects between the two countries.

The two foreign ministers also discussed exploitation of Joufair Oil well as well as President Lukashenko's visit to Iran./end
