IFC CONTINUES TO SUPPORT ECONOMIC LEGISLATIVE STRUCTURE IN YEMEN
SANA'A, Feb.16 (Saba) - The International Finance Corporation (IFC)'s Country Director in Yemen affirmed here on Tuesday the IFC's keenness to continue to support the Yemeni government efforts aiming to promote the economic legislative structure in Yemen.
This came in a meeting gathered the IFC's official and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi.
In the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of the current cooperation between Yemen and the corporation, especially with regard to the technical support offered by the corporation to develop the economic legislative structure in Yemen.
They discussed details relating to the legislative structure of the investment laws, income tax, customs and real estate law which have been approved by the government and referred to the parliament for endorsement.
Furthermore, the two sides dealt with the issues relating to strengthening the existing technical cooperation between Yemen and the IFC.
In this respect, al-Arhbai praised the economic contributions of the IFC to support and enhance the partnership between the government and the private sector.
