Massive turnout should awaken enemies: Leader
TEHRAN, Feb. 16 (MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a statement on Thursday saying that the nation’s massive turnout on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution should awaken the enemies.
Part of the statement said: “Isn’t the massive turnout enough to make the hegemonistic powers aware that their efforts to dominate the Iranian nation are futile?”
The Supreme Leader added that the nation has found the path to advancement and is determined to conquer the summits of prosperity and advancement and will destroy any impediments in the way.
Ayatollah Khamenei also stated that the demonstrations showed that the nation will enter the stage whenever necessary to safeguard the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.
