YEMENI CHILD PARLIAMENT HOLDS 2008-2010 LAST SESSION
SANA'A, Feb.15 (Saba) - Under the slogan "Education for all Children", Child Parliament held here on Monday the last session 2008-2010 that was dedicated to discussing the role of the concerned governmental and non-governmental authorities with drawing up comprehensive education policies and future plans to spread education.
The session was held in association with the SEYAJ Organization for Childhood Protection.
About 46 representatives from the Education Ministry, the Supreme Maternal and Child Council, the Community Rehabilitation Project at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Social Development Fund and the Parliament Education Committee attended the session.
They discussed achievements in the girl education sector in last years, programs, plans and strategies to spread education among all children as well as familiarizing themselves with the role of the Comprehensive Education Administration at the Education Ministry in implementing the programs and dealing with difficulties facing education in the country.
The Parliament also listened to the reports of the Handicapped Fund and the Aman Social Charity on supporting the disabled.
The members of Child Parliament received for two days training in the indicators and concepts of comprehensive education a well as approaches to face the problems facing education for all children in Yemen.
They were also trained in running election ahead of the upcoming election for their parliament scheduled for April.
