GULF STANDARDIZATION OFFICIAL LEAVES SANA'A

SANA'A, Feb. 11 (Saba)- Secretary General of the Gulf Standardization Organization Anwar al-Abdullah said Thursday that Yemen accession into the Gulf Standardization Organization will achieve a big push in the process of cooperation between the GCC member countries and Yemen.

His statement came as he left Yemen following a few days visit to the country during which he met with a number of Yemeni officials.

He noted that his delegation took part in two workshops on approving conformity certificate of cars and tires, in addition to the legislative system for quality and goods control in the Gulf market.

We are confident that the Yemeni government, represented by Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO), will work to support the joint work and will have positive impacts in the field of cooperation and coordination as well as reinforcing commercial exchange between Yemen and the GCC member countries, he said.
