MONGOLIAN POPULATION INCREASES

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The number of births in January of 2010 reached 6,127 increasing 729 children or 13.5 percent. The number of mothers delivered child was 6,097 increasing 718 mothers or 13.3 percent against the same period of previous year.
A number of infant mortality stood at 137 showing an increase by 15.1 percent or 18 infants, and number of maternal deaths was 6 increasing by 2 mothers. Child mortality under 5 reached 30 that is a rise by 12 children compared to the same period of previous year.
