ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ In January 2010, 1,860.5 thousand adult animals have been lost equalling to 4.2 percent of the total livestock at the beginning of the year. The number of losses of the animals exceeded yearly losses since the year of 2002. Out of losses of the adult animals, 57.1 percent were the goats.
As of January 2010, the total industrial output reached 142.6 bln.togrogs demonstrating an increase of 15.4 percent or by 19.0 bln.togrogs (at 2005 constant prices), compared with the same period of the previous year.
Compared with the same period of the previous year, 15.4 percent increase in output of the industrial sector reflected increases of products such as copper concentrate with 35%, molybdenum concentrate with 47%, zincum concentrate, flour spar concentrate, coal, crude oil, meat, fluor, alcoholic beverage, wine, beer, copper 99%, metal foundries and steel casting.
