Japan to invest US$ 2.55 million in Karnaphuli EPZ
Dhaka, Bangladesh, June 23 (BSS)- M/s Mathi Industries (BD) Limited, a Japanese company, will set up a Electronic Industry in the
Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone with an outlay of US $ 2.55
million.
This 100 per cent foreign owned company will produce 50 lakh
optical and other related equipments. The company will also
create employment opportunity for 220 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the
Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the M/s. Mathi
Industries (BD) Limited in BEPZA Complex, here Today. Md. Farhad
Uddin, Member (Engineering) of BEPZA and Shimojima Masatoshi,
Managing Director of M/s Mathi Industries (BD) Limited signed the
agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Brig General Jamil Ahmed Khan, Executive Chairman of BEPZA
and other officials were present on the occasion.
