MORE THAN 400 UNAUTHORIZED PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN SANA'A

SANA'A, Feb. 10 (Saba) - A Questionnaire by al-Wahda newspaper
about the private education and the role of Ministry of Education in
supervising it has discovered that there are more than 400
unlicensed private schools in Sana'a.

Also, the questionnaire discovered that there is duality in granting
licenses for the schools from ministries that have no relationship
with the Education Ministry, and that there are student seat
numbers for public exams given for unlicensed schools without
permission from the ministry or Secretariat Capital.

This act indicates that there is no coordination among the concerned
authorities, the paper said.

Specialists say that the duality of licenses was a major reason for
schools sponsored by charities and those with uncensored curricula.
