AL-ARHABI URGES STATE BODIES TO AND IMPROVE PERFORMANCE

SANA'A, Feb. 10 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs
and Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Kareem
al-Arhabi urged the government bodies to adopt transparency and
improve their performance.

In a workshop of reviewing performance in projects funded by the
World Bank (WB) in Yemen, al-Arhabi pointed out to the importance of
serious evaluation for the WB projects in the country.

He asked the government bodies to shoulder their responsibility in
carrying out reforms and tackling faults in order to improve
performance of these bodies.

The workshop was organized by the WB in cooperation with the
Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

WB Regional Director praised level of the cooperation with the
Yemeni government to carry out the WB projects, saying that
objective of evaluating these projects is to find out solutions to
overcome faults in these projects.
