Islamic Revolution turned Iran into supporter of Palestine cause

Damascus, Feb 10, IRNA – Secretary General of Palestinian Organization "As-Saiqa" said that Islamic revolution turned Iran from a US puppet regime into a supporter of Palestinian people.

Farhan Abu Al-Hayja, in a ceremony here on Tuesday evening to honor children of Palestinian martyrs, said that the revolution demolished world arrogant powers plans and revived a new spirit in the nation.

In the ceremony, which was held on the august occasion of Ten-Day Fajr ( victory of Islamic Revolution), Abu Hayja stressed that Palestinian people always appreciate Iran for its support of the oppressed people.

Referring to the resistance of Iran and Syria against enemies' threats, Al-Hayja said all should support these two countries against arrogant powers' plots.

The secretary general of As-Saiqa, by referring to the current conspiracy for destroying resistance in the region, expressed regret over participation of certain Arab countries in the conspiracy.

Ebrahim Fathi Shaqaqi, son of Fathi Shaqaqi, martyred secretary general of Palestine Islamic Jihad Movement, on behalf of Palestinian martyrs' children said that Gaza Strip is still in blockade.

He also appreciated Iran's stances for support of Palestinian people and said that martyrdom is the closest way to approach God the almighty.

In the ceremony, Supreme Leader representative in Martyrs Foundation and Veterans Affairs Mohammad Hassan Rahimian and Iran's Ambassador to Syria Hojjatol-eslam Ahmad Mousavi as well as a number of Palestinian characters were present./end
