TRILATERAL MEETING HELD ON MEAT EXPORT

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A trilateral consultation was held in Beijing February 5 to discuss issues of Mongolian meat export.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Mongolian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Mongolia's Embassy in Beijing, UN Food and Agricultural Organization and embassies of Arabic countries to China.
The gathered discussed issues of vet, hygiene, customs and transportation in exporting meat to Arabic countries. Meat importer countries from Arabia advised the Mongolian side to negotiate in advance with the Chinese side the difficulties that may arise in putting vet, hygienic and customs requirements during the transportation of the Mongolian meat through the territory of China. The Arabian side also announced their readiness to boost cooperation with Mongolia in meat export.
