STATE FLAG RAISED IN VANCOUVER

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ National team of Mongolia raised the state flag in the village of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The ceremony ran at 2.00 pm by local time (at 10.00 pm in Ulaanbaatar) in the Whistler Athlete's Village Monday.
The gathered for the ceremony Mongolian Olympic athletes Kh.Khash-Erdene and E.Ochirsuren, a Secretary-General of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee (MonNOC), and Alan Kristmanson, a chairman of the Olympic village, congratulated each other and exchanged souvenirs. After this the national anthem of Mongolia was played.
Apart of the above people, present at the ceremony were L.Dorj, a State Honored Coach; P.Tungalag, a secretary of Mongolia's team; T.Robbins, a Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Vancouver, and some Mongolians living in the city.
Mongolia has taken part in the Winter Games 11 times since the first participation in 1964 in Innsbruck Games.
