VOYAGER BEGINS DUE DILIGENCE ON MONGOLIA GOLD PROJECT

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Gold explorer Voyager Resources has initiated a due diligence study on the Tsagaan Chuluut gold project in Mongolia, in which it had the option to acquire an 80% stake.
The Tsagaan Chuluut project is 3 971 ha in size, and is situated in the Domod Volcanic Tectonic Belt, which hosted several active gold placer mining operations.
Voyager said in a statement on Monday that the Tsagaan Chuluut project includes gold-rich epithermal and porphyry copper cold. The company believed that the mineralization identified at Tsagaan Chuluut bore a resemblance to several of the gold deposits in the Maricunga gold belt, in Chile.
Five separate mineralised zones have been identified within the project area to date, and 15 reverse circulation drill holes, and one diamond core drill hole had been completed.
Voyager noted that the drilling had intersected broad zones of porphyry gold mineralisation from surface, including 124 m at 0,44 g/t gold, and 138 m at 0,38 g/t gold.
Voyager Resources Limited (Voyager) relisted on the ASX on the 1st September 2009 with the goal to create a sustainable exploration and development business focussed on gold resource opportunities in the nations of Gabon, Africa and Mongolia.
Voyager through its wholly owned subsidiaries Lafayette Mining Gabon SA and Lafayette Mining Gabon Pounga Sarl, holds a 100% interest in a number of permits located in Southern Gabon, being the Eteke, Pounga and Pounga West Permits. The Eteke permit currently holds JORC inferred and indicated resources that amount to 1.87 million tonnes at 6.4 g/t for 380,000 ounces of gold, with the potential to extend these resources with further drilling.
Voyager has also acquired the option to earn up to 70% (Mandal Ovoo) and 80% (Tsagaan) in two separate gold projects in Mongolia. Due diligence has already commenced on those properties and further work is planned for the remainder of the calendar year.
