Mottaki: Resistance, secret of achieving victory, embracing prosperity

Tehran, Feb 9, IRNA – IRI Foreign Minister said here Monday in a meeting with secretary general of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Palestinians’ struggles proved that resistance is secret of achieving victory and embracing prosperity.

According to Information and Media Head Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting between Manouchehr Mottaki and Ramadhan Abdullah at IRI Foreign Ministry, Mottaki Further emphasized, “The west’s viewpoints on world conflicts, including the Palestinian issue, are haphazard.

The Iranian top diplomat added, “The designers of Annapolis had imagined that the Middle East crisis would be resolved by the year 2008, but no effective move has taken place to reach that end thus far.”

He said, “The occupier regime of the holy Qods is not in a position to enable it to make the slightest mistake, since the aftermaths of such moves are quite unpredictable for the Zionists.”

Wishing success and near future victory for the Palestinian people, he said, “Beyond doubt and quite certainly the Zionists will not achieve the goals they have been pursing in Gaza.”

Mottaki said that the west’s difference of opinion with the Islamic Republic of Iran is under the influence of the unjust pressure imposed by the west against Iran, which has resulted in a group of western countries’ incompetence in managing the world.

He added, “Another aspect of that pressure is their assumption that the new sciences and technologies are monopolized in the west.”

Mottaki reiterated, “We hope this illogical approach of the west would be altered and the entire world nations would be able to take full advantage of their natural rights.”

Ramadhan Abdullah, too, during the meeting congratulated Mottaki on the 31st anniversary of the Iranian Islamic Revolution’s victory.

He also presented a report about the latest situation in occupied Palestine, adding, “The policies pursued by the Zionist regime are the factors leading to regional insecurity.”/end
